Folks, this Monday the initial first print orders are due for FALLING IN LOVE ON THE PATH TO HELL # 3. Please pre—order it if you haven’t yet. Check out the cover and a few pages.
And a few bonus pages for my subscribers here:
The third issue is our most hardcore, disturbing and badass tale yet. I just did a lettering pass on issue four, the end of our first arc, and it really shines. We’re all very proud of it.
So, I always like to plan ahead for Halloween. I’m one of those guys with a twelve foot skeleton in my heart and in my yard. Check out October’s cover from Garry and guest cover colorist Michelle Madsen:
…and our guest cover this month will be by comics geniuses Frank Miller & Jock. Once again, I’m overwhelmed by the support for the book. I got to chat with Frank in Dallas at Fan Expo last month and hand him a copy of our book, and thank him for the inspiration. That he agreed to accommodate a guest cover request from us means the world to our team, and we want to thank Doug at Comic Sketch art Silenn Thomas as well.
Our brains have been marinating in Frank’s work for decades, and he’s one of the direct influences on Garry and yours truly. RONIN is a hell of an achievement and his covers to LONE WOLF & CUB were a gateway to one of my favorite comics of all time.
Just for fun because I love it, here’s Sienkiewicz paints over Miller pencils:
Mr. Miller and I are working with Comic Sketch Art to have something special planned for you for NY Comic Con this year, too. Can’t wait to reveal all the goodies coming your way.
Thanks for pre-ordering your comics.
Coming up, you’re going to hear a lot more about Dead Eyes, and on a personal note, I’m writing up a more personal chapter of my life, which has been a struggle in every way. But first, I’m setting beside those trouble and I’m on my way to the greatest city in the world to watch Deadpool & Wolverine. I’ve got a lot of friends that contributed in ways large and small to the film, and I can’t wait to turn my brain off and enjoy the show.
Have a good weekend, folks.
Gerry
Of all Frank Miller’s artistic achievements, getting me into Lone Wolf & Cub may be the one that I’m the most grateful for.
And now I’ve discovered yours! Can’t wait to read.
The cover to issue #5 should hang in an art museum!
