For Your Consideration: Let The Dark Room Fulfill Your Halloween Needs
...and an update on Volume Two
The Dark Room is a collaboration I’ll always love. Check out this ginormous preview of the first dozen or so pages of the hardcover.
The comic exists because of Neil Mahoney, and that’s where our heroine Dounia inherits her last name from. Feast your eyes on Scott Buoncristiano’s line art and Tamra Bonvillain’s colors.
The Terminal Bar. A secret watering hole hidden under Grand Central Station, and populated by the spirits and ghouls in the shadows of the human world.
Scott and I had long talks about how painful it would be to transform into a werewolf. Scott crushed it.
Walt is the Dancing Bones of Times Square, and his part in the second volume is so much fun.
The Dark Room exists under the lakes and rivers of the Earth. Everything cast into the waters by man is down there. There’s also a visit from the elves from Faeville, New Jersey.
The entire team is very proud of our work on this comic, and we’re chugging away on a second volume. In order to make sure it’s worthy of sitting next to volume one on your bookshelf we’re going to give ourselves a little extra time.
Exactly one year from this post we’ll have our second volumes in your hands.
This one stars one of my favorite villains, and we can’t wait for you to meet him, and be scared to death by him.
If you haven’t read the first volume, a few hardcovers are still available.
Our preference is for you to order it from a comic shop, to find one near you click here. It’s backordered on Indiebound.com but keep your eye on it there. To have it delivered to you, or stolen off your doorstep click here.
Let us know what you think after you’ve gotten caught up.

PS - If you’re interested in my work — you might want to check out my lockdown project, TIMING/LUCK. I have all but fulfilled my crowdfunding effort, and I’m selling the extra books I printed to cover loss and damage. Not many of the limited slipcase with hardcovers remain. Check them out here.
