I’m sure the Internet is having a normal Monday. I ain’t looking at any of it, but yes, it’s true. I had to wait to quit Twitter until my book had been fulfilled, and now that I’m off that platform it’s like a rock has been removed from my chest. I’m going to write about it a bit more in a different post, but for now Substack and the comments section here will be the only place I’ll be available.
But enough about me — back to the happy couple. Here’s the official announcement over at Marvel.com The connecting Iron Man & X-Men covers are by Lucas Werneck, who couldn’t draw a turd that didn’t look beautiful.

As storytellers we try very hard to protect our product so you can enjoy it, but it means serving red meat on our covers so fans and more importantly retailers know what to expect. I don’t mind giving up the proposal and marriage, because there’s a lot of story we’re obfuscating. What you see is what you will get, you will also get it in a way that makes me confident you can step into this and still have your hair blown back.
Pre-order the Hellfire Gala comic this summer. It’s probably the single most important comic we’re publishing in 2023. The world can change in one night. The previous Hellfire Galas served different purpose structurally, and the same is true this year.
Now that the wedding of Emma & Tony is on the horizon in Fall Of X, don’t take for granted that these books will be on shelves. Pre-order them. If I’m being honest, their relationship was nothing I was hoping to pursue…until this story came into clear focus. Buckle up, whether you love the idea or hate the idea, you’re all in for a ride with a lot of surprises. I didn’t want to do this, I had to do this. And now I owe Mark Waid 20 bucks. I promise you — it will be fun.

Even if there’s no comic shop in my area, I’ll try to get a physical copy of the one-shot through subscription.marvel.com, which could be better than buying it digitally! Meanwhile, how are you enjoying Ryan North’s FF run? I hope you and him can bring some synergy one day, since Reed and Kate have a problem to fix.
