I just wanted to say how touched I was to hear from so many folks after I wrote about my father. I know he would want me to keep doing what I’m doing: focusing on family and work. It’s good to keep moving right now, and that’s what street photography demands.
I’ve just received some scans back from the lab. My friend Joe let me borrow his Widelux camera recently and we snuck onto a Holiday parade rehearsal route in Palm Springs. The Widelux is a prickly 35mm beast and is probably most associated with Stanley Kubrick…
…but most especially Jeff Bridges.
The Dude is bringing the camera back, and if panoramic photography is your bag, register your interest here. I can’t wait to own the new camera. I was trying a new color film called Candido on this day about a month ago.
These shots below are with Illford B&W film in a Rollei 35 I was testing.
And here are some from a day out in downtown Los Angeles with my Leica.
If you’d like my first book of photography it’s available from Image Comics at comic shops and books stores everywhere, and online from a few including Golden Apple Comics. I’m working on a very different book of photos. Maybe I’ll publish it. Maybe life will get in the way way.
If you’re interested in one of the few remaining hardcovers of Timing/Luck, you can hit me here.
Hope your 2025 is great.

That photo of the couple tenderly feeding one another in front of the Eggslut line cooks is amazing.
signed up for the Widelux! I gotta get back to shooting more films. The kiddo is getting interested in photography, I gave him my Dlux6 to start shooting!
