Next week on October 11, 2023 THE GIANT KOKJÜ is going to smash down into comic shops via Image.
The genesis of this comic occurred right here on Substack, and although I was one of the last Substack Pro grants to launch, I was tinkering the entire time. As the world ground to a halt during the Covid lockdowns Scott and I were laughing about a horny, anatomically “correct” monster coming ashore, and Substack allowed us to bring this light to a dark world.
Scott Koblish, Hi-Fi colors and Joe Sabino sat up in their chairs and just demolished this comic. It was a symphony of violence, jokes and sadness. Scott and I aimed to give you whiplash back on our Deadpool collaborations but this time we did it with a comic that would never clear a major publishers standards and practices. Don’t take my word for it, take a look at the first few pages lettered.
